We bought our condo in 1998 when the lake was nearly at high water mark. I have never seen it that high since, that is until this year. While it still has a few feet to reach high water mark, there is absolutely no beach. There is no way to get out to a boat, unless you love tromping through marshy, buggy weeds for thirty yards followed by another thirty yards of rock bottomed, reed filled water.
It could be a rough year at Bear Lake. One of my favorite things to do is walk along the absolutely stupendous beach.
Not this year.
In the past we have wished for more water, but now I'm beginning to think we made a mistake. It reminds me of the stories of my youth where someone was granted three magic wishes and then squandered them away.

Isn't that the truth. Wishes usually aren't that well thought out, so there are usually unforseen consequences!
